Windmill ‘De Eersteling’ in Hoofddorp

In 1856 is windmill ‘De Eersteling’ in Hoofddorp the first windmill in the Haarlemmermeer.  The name:  ‘De Eersteling’ means ‘The first’ Windmill ‘De Eersteling’was built in the centre of Hoofddorp. Due to increased building around the mill it eventually fell into disuse. In 1977 the mill was moved to another location near fort Hoofddorp.

tuesday  untill friday from  10.00  – 12.30 hr and 13.00 – 17.00 hr;

saturday  and sunday from 10.00 hr – 17.00 hr.

1 november untill 1 march:

tuesday  untill friday from  10.00  – 12.30 hr  and 13.00  – 16.30 uur;

saturday  and sunday from 10.00 hr – 16.30 hr.

december and january.

saturday  and Sunday closed

The childeren’s farm is closed at: christmas, easter, whitsunday, newyearsday , liberation day  (the 5th of may)  and Kingsday.
